Welcome to Hittin' the Web with INIO Music!

INIO Music has been at the forefront of cutting edge music for nearly five years. With such diverse talents as The Aquarium Rescue Unit, Sean O'Rourke, Barry Richman, and now, Tomas Ramirez, our label has continuously attempted to provide the very best in rock, jazz, blues, and funk. Real music for real people.

It is our mission to continue to provide an alternative for those who prefer not to listen to "lowest common denominator" offerings. INIO produces music that, frankly, is not for everyone. But our goal from the very beginning has been to provide an outlet for music of true expression and integrity. And to those of you that have supported our releases, thank you so very much. With your continued support, we will continue to give you the music that you want and deserve. You know who who you are, and you know what you want.

NEW!! Download songs, albums, and DVD's from the INIO catalog at the new INIO Music Store!!

NEW CD! Tomas Ramirez: Sin Palabras

NEW RELEASE
Tomas Ramirez: Sin Palabras

Tomas Ramirez, the "Jazzmanian Devil" is BACK!! A certified Austin, Texas legend, the veteran sax man has appeared on countless albums with a variety of artists (including Eric Johnson, Jerry Jeff Walker, The Texana Dames, and prominently featured on the last two Barry Richman INIO releases) during his 35+ year career. Now, Sin Palabras (Spanish for "without words"), Ramirez' latest cd is here. This cd not only showcases Ramirez' immense skills as composer, arranger, and master of the tenor saxophone, but also the gigantic talents of his bandmates on this project. And what a band!! Marcus Williams (drums), Neal Fountain (bass), Tom Grose (all keyboards), and Steve Cunningham (guitar and lap steel), with guests Count M'Butu (percussion, 3 tracks) and the Hook 'Em Horn Section (Bob Lewis, trumpet and trombone; Alex Lowe, baritone sax). It's jazz with a backbeat. Gorgeous and shimmery, funky and hot. Tremendous performances from all. And the tunes: from the heartbreaking beauty of "Mil Tristezas" to the Miles-like title track to the gospel feel of "Salem" and the funk of "Nic Tic" and "Recidivous"--this cd may be the crown jewel of the entire label.

Barry Richman's Blues From Mars Vol 2

NEW RELEASE
Barry Richman, Blues From Mars, Vol 2:

Barry's follow-up to last years BFM 1 release, Blues From Mars, Vol 2 is a funky ride that shows as many shades of the blues as the fellas could get to and still fit into a 71 minute CD. Featuring Jaimoe, David Stoltz, Matt Zeiner, Sean O'Rourke, Tomas Ramirez, Tom Grose, Tommy Vickery, and Andrew Black, as well as one track with Jimmy Herring and Jeff Sipe. We got yer slow blues here, we got yer bayou romps, we got yer jazz, we got yer rockers, we got stuff we can't even really describe---not without a signed consent form. Jaimoe said "all music is blues", so we're going with that. You've been hearing about this one--now it's here.

Hot News: Strange Stirrings at INIO Music

Posted on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - 05:52 PM

Rumors and innuendo are swirling around small record label, INIO Music, concerning the digital distribution of its catalog of rare and treasured music. All calls to INIO have been diverted to overseas call centers in an effort to ease the stress of the young secretaries and assistants who had been pulling phone duties in addition to their usual tasks of keeping the harried executives at INIO focused on the task at hand: music for the sake of music.
